COVERAGE:
Upon initial application, this stuff feels very lightweight. You can hardly even remember you are wearing foundation for at least a couple hours. However, with my oily skin, the oils just build up to make my skin feel heavy whether or not I'm actually wearing any makeup. This lightweight-ness is a really cool bonus in my opinion.
The foundation is semi-matte alone, but definitely matte as long as you are setting it with a powder, which I must do during these hot and humid summer months. I love the finish of it on its own, but after a few hours my skin is too oily, it starts to get shiny, so I have to use a setting powder.

It wears beautifully. It keeps your blush/bronzer on all day long. It does begin to break down just a tad around my nose area after 9+ hours and keep in mind I do have very oily skin.
SKIN TYPES:

SHADE:
I wish I knew what color I was in other foundations at the moment, so I could give you guys some comparison with drugstore colors and this shade. But it's summertime and I have way more color than usual, so my other foundations really are not good matches for me right now. I must say, buying summertime foundations suck because I know I'll be right back to my pale self in a couple months. But it will be nice to mix in with my lighter foundations to customize my way through the fall months and into winter.

PACKAGING:
The packaging is gorgeous and sturdy. It has a weight to it and doesn't feel cheap whatsoever, plus it has the gorgeous designs that Kat Von D is famous for.
It has a pump and it is great. It functions perfectly and is really smooth, making it very easy to control, you can get just a little dab or a full pump or anything in between very easily with this pump.
I picked this one up because I love the shadows I've tried from Kat Von D and really wanted to try some more products. I knew it was full coverage and matte, so I said, "hey, sounds like something I'd like." I want to compare it to Revlon Colorstay, but first I will need to find a new Colorstay shade that actually matches my summer skin. :-P
I hope this was helpful! Let me know what you think of this foundation and whether or not you'd like to see it compared with Revlon Colorstay (my favorite).
Thanks for reading!

The only product I've got from KVD is her liquid lipstick and I'm in love with it. I'm always on the lookout for a good foundation and this one sounds ideal for me as I love full coverage and a matte finish! I recently just did makeup classes for beginners London , so I am trying to practice as much as I can, also trying new products to improve my knowledge and skill. Can you please suggest me which shade I should go for, I am nc42.
