DIY Salt Scrub similar to Lush Ocean Salt

Watch the video here!

 Ingredients:
1 tbsp lime juice
1/2 an avocado smashed
1 tbsp grapefruit juice
1-2 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
3/4 to 1 cup sea salt (course and/or fine)

Overall, I added about a cup of sea salt.  I gradually added in the salt to get the consistency I wanted, with a roughly 2:1 coarse to fine sea salt ratio.  If you would like to use this as a facial scrub, use more fine than coarse, but since I was making a body scrub, I decided to use more coarse sea salt than fine.  Depending on how big your avocado was or how much coconut oil you ended up using, you may need to use more or less sea salt to get the consistency you like.  Since this scrub should be stored in the fridge because of all the fresh ingredients used in it, keep in mind that when it's cool, it's going to end up having a thicker consistency, so if it's a tad watered down when you make it at room temperature, it should be perfect once cooled in the fridge.

I prefer to measure out about 1/2 cup of the salts, then add in the avocado, mix, then the coconut oil and mix.  If you were to add the grapefruit and lime juices directly to the salt, you risk dissolving some of the salt, so I like the add the more oily ingredients first to kind of protect the salts from the juices later on.

This should be stored in the fridge.

5 DIY Lip Scrubs - Great Stocking Stuffers Christmas Presents

Watch the video here!

1
Cinnamon + Nutmeg
3 tbsp Brown Sugar
3 tbsp Olive Oil
2 drops Vitamin E oil
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Cinnamon

2
Honey + Vanilla
3 tbsp Brown Sugar
3 tbsp Olive Oil
2 drops Vitamin E oil
1/2 tbsp Honey
1 tsp Vanilla

3
Almond
3 tbsp White Sugar
3 tbsp Almond Oil
2 drops Vitamin E oil
1 tsp almond extract

4
Lemon
3 tbsp White Sugar
3 tbsp Olive Oil
2 drops Vitamin E oil
1 tsp lemon extract

5
Peppermint
3 tbsp White Sugar
3 tbsp Almond Oil (because it is lighter in color and will result in a more white finished scrub, catering to the peppermint name, olive oil makes it look more yellow)
2 drops Vitamin E oil
1 tsp peppermint flavor

The key is to use about equal parts oil to sugar.  You can always switch it up to get different consistencies of course.  This is just a super basic recipe and you can alter it in whatever way you like.  I just wanted to give you some different ideas for what you can add to a basic lip scrub to make it all little more festive or exciting.  I hope you enjoyed!

DIY Lush Ultrabland Makeup Remover

I love Lush's Ultrabland, but I don't love the price as much. So after a few little experiments, checking out the ingredients on Lush' website, and reading a bit about other DIY beeswax stuff, I've figured out a concoction that I think is pretty similar to Ultrabland.

My review on Lush Ultrabland.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup beeswax
1/3 cup sweet almond oil
1/8 cup honey
1/8 cup rose water
1 tsp vitamin e oil
