Drugstore Haul & Reviews

Hey everyone! So I recently picked up a few items at my local Walmart.  Yes, I know I shouldn't be spending more money on makeup, but as we all need to ask ourselves every time we walk down the cosmetics aisles at the drugstore, I had to ask myself "do I really need more?"  Usually, the answer is "NO, you crazy fool, how many different eyeshadows does one girls need?!" but this particular day, I said "YES, I need to try out these products for the few subscribers that I have." :-p at least that's always my excuse.
If you follow me on Instagram, (@lainamarie91) which you probably don't, but you totally should, you would have seen my pictures testing out some of these products, or if you have come here because of my YouTube channel lainamarie91, then you may have seen a couple review videos I have put up on there.

So what did I pick up exactly?
- Nail Polish Remover (unimportant) lol
- Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
- Flower Beauty Zoom-In Mascara
- Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Endless Sea (because, you may know, I super duper love my blue/teal/turquoise eyeshadows!)
-  Flower Beauty Color Play Creme Eyeshadow in Lilac You A Lot
- Maybelline Color Tattoo - Barely Branded

As of today, I am currently testing out the Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow as I sit here and type, tomorrow I will hopefully test out the Maybelline Color Tattoo, but I have tried everything else out and hope to share some of my thoughts with you here.  Don't worry, I'll make another post once I have finished testing these all out.  I plan to film a video comparing all three cream shadows at some point.

For the Flower Beauty products, I was overall actually quite impressed.  To start off, the creme eyeshadow held up very well throughout the day. It did not crease on me, which honestly, I was expecting that it would crease.  In my eyes, "cream eyeshadow" just screams "I'm gonna crease!" But it didn't.  The color stayed strong all day and I was very happy with it.  (I didn't set it with shadow or use a base or primer underneath, I just put it on the lid with my finger and that was all)

During the application I just used my finger to apply this shadow, it is so soft and smooth. Honestly, sometimes it is a little difficult to get on your finger because of the moisture content, it tends to stick to itself at first so you have to apply a little pressure to get it on your finger, which honestly makes it less messy, but can be kind of annoying the first couple times you decide to use it until you get more used to it.  It has such a lightweight texture and feeling, yet feels wet at the same time.  It's pretty cool and I really liked it.  However, the only downside I really found was its price point, it was just under $8 at Walmart, when I got the Maybelline Color Tattoo for just under $6 and the Loreal Infallible shadow for just under $7.  But, as I said, there will be another review comparing the 3 of those as well.

As for the mascara, I also really like that one as well.  I wasn't like, "holy crap, that mascara kicks butt" or anything like that, but it is better than a few drugstore mascaras I have been trying out recently.  It is awesome in the fact that you can twist the wand to make the brush look different; I had never seen a mascara like that before. However, I really didn't see any difference between the "lengthening" & "volumizing" ways to use the brush, but I do think the "curling" way worked pretty well.  I can also get to my lower lashes more easily than any other mascara I've been trying lately without making a big ole mess on my lower lash line.

It does leave the lashes kind of crunchy, but still flexible, something that doesn't bother me.  It didn't flake until after I'd had it on all day for about 8 hours.  It didn't smudge at all either.  It wasn't a super crazy awesome mascara or anything like that, but I definitely wasn't disappointed with it.
