NEW NYX Macaron Lippies Lipstick Review Swatches Pictures Full Collection Entire Line

Sooo.... as soon as I saw these on Instagram I just absolutely knew I needed to have them and I could not wait for the very slim possibility that any of the Ultas near me would actually get them in stock.  I got online and ordered them that day.

Citron

This one is streak city and really hard to get into because of that downfall.  I think it would look splendid with an orange or coral lip to create a pretty ombre effect though. 

 Key Lime

This one goes on streaky and I haven't quite figured out a way to make i show up as awesome as possible.  Unsure still how I feel about it.   

 Blue Velvet

I have no idea when I will wear this, but as soon as I applied this one I really fell in love with it.  It is just gorgeous, but I still don't know what I'm going to do with it. :-P  It goes on really nicely without being streaky, it has great color pay off and it just looks awesome.

 Pistachio

This is almost a minty color which looks beautiful in the tube, but on the lips I'm still unsure. This one had nice color pay-off and it wasn't terribly streaky.

 Earl Grey

I actually really like this one, it's a periwinkle type of color that looks beautiful in an ombre type fashion where it fades back into your natural lip color.

 Coconut

This one is definitely streaky, plus I don't think I like it straight up on the lips, but mixed with others it does well to tone them down and just slightly change up a look.

 Chambord

Love this one.  This is a full coverage color with no streak problems.  It does leave a slight stain on the lips just from the fews moments I have worn it just playing around, so I'm sure the longer you leave it on, the more stain you'll get out of it.

 Lavender

This one is beautiful.  It is a purple with a bit of a bright neon power to it.  Application is nice, less streaky, great pigmention.

 Violet

This one is not streaky but can take a few swipes to get full coverage from it.  A more wearable color from the line.

Rose

This one didn't really fit in with the others when I first glanced at the collection, but after trying it on, I realized how strong of a bright neon pastel tint it has which makes it a pretty unique pink.  Although it's not super crazy and perhaps the most wearable of the bunch, I'm still glad I picked it up because it is very bright and cool. 

 Black Sesame

I didn't expect to like this one and I'm still somewhat on the fence about it, but I don't completely hate it like I thought I was going to.  It looked to me like concrete when I opened the tube, but it's actually an interesting color and I look forward to creating some cool makeup looks with it.  It's not super bold like a black lip but since it is a neutral color, you can really go crazy with a colorful eye or cheek. 

Orange Blossom

One of my favorites.  It's beautiful in the tube and on the lips.  I find this one does not last super long on the lips (although it's really the only one I've worn for an extended period of time so far) but it fades nicely into your natural lips.  It's a beautiful color for summer, in my opinion, and really easy way to start getting into these crazy colors.

OPI Nail Polish Review : A Woman's Prague-ative

This polish is a beautiful color and I had no major issues with it; however it is still not really a favorite.

It did not chip or peel horribly, but after about three days I did just want to take it off due to its small wear on the tips.  It is definitely too sheer with one coat and it's too streaky to leave it even if you like a sheer polish.  Two coats was still not super awesome but on the third coat, it looked wonderful.

For the price, I much prefer Zoya.  And for an even more affordable polish, I still love Flower Beauty the most.

Lorac AfterGlo vs. SummerGlo Limited Edition Summer 2014 Eyeshadow Palettes

I knew I needed the Lorac AfterGlo palette as soon as I saw it, however, with the SummerGlo palette, I was somewhat skeptical because they looked so very similar.  Anyway, as you can see, I still picked it up. :-P

Here is the breakdown for the eyeshadows:

The dark brown in SG is much darker and more pigmented than AG.

The coral shades are both pigmented but SG's coral is lighter in color than AG.

The lighter brown in SG has more of a cool tone than AG.

The purples are both somewhat disappointing in their color pay off compared to the pan, but the purple in SG is more metallic and shimmery, while AG is a soft matte.

The bronze in SG has more of a golden brown tone, while AG is a true bronze color.

The light gold in SG is much more golden, while AG's light gold is a yellow gold and is much lighter.

The aqua shade in SG is more blue-based whereas AG's aqua is more green based, but I love my blue shadows and can appreciate their subtle differences.  

The other two blues are a baby blue in SG and a darker teal in AG.

As far as I can tell, the two matte whites are the same.

The other oversized shadow in SG is a beige with a yellow undertone and that shade in AG is a shimmery light pink.

Honestly, I would not pick up both of them.  They are very similar.  If you like lighter colors, maybe go with SummerGlo, but other than that, I hope these pictures will help you decide. :)  I love Lorac's eyeshadows, even though the purples in both of these palettes were quite the disappointment in pigmentation, the others are all wonderfully buttery and pretty darn perfect.

All pictures taken outside in natural daylight.  Swatches are on dry skin with no primer, moisturizer, etc.

NEW Limited Edition Revlon Super Lustrous Vintage Retro Legacy Lipsticks

     After visits to 1 CVS and 4 Walgreens, I finally found these little guys! And good thing I found them at the fourth Walgreens because I was going to give up and say "I guess it wasn't meant to be" after the fifth Walgreens on my way home. (and by the way, holy cow, doesn't that say something about how many Walgreens there are in my area, lol)  

     I literally gasped when I saw the display! There were just one left of each of the two colors that I wanted.  I have been excited for these since I heard last year that they were coming out.  I thought it was a cool idea, but I didn't really know if I would be interested until I started seeing pictures all over the internet and instagram.  Then I knew I needed the two peach shades!

     I picked up Snow Peach (1956) and Jungle Peach (1963) because they looked freaking gorgeous and I am so impressed and absolutely in love with them!  So pigmented, so creamy, I'm in love.

     Enjoy these pictures and definitely go make your journey to half a dozen stores to find them! Don't give up, they're out there somewhere. :)
